The stallions Aptitude, Empire Maker (first two-year-olds of 2007), First Defence (retires to stud in 2009), and Mizzen Mast are based at Juddmonte Farms in Lexington, KY.

APTITUDE 1997 b h A. P. Indy-Dokki (Northern Dancer) 
Multiple Grade 1 winner and multiple Classic-placed Aptitude is passing on his Classic quality to his offspring.  He has been represented by a Kentucky Derby starter in each of his first two crops; Grade 1 winner Great Hunter ($772,500)
, who defeated Kentucky Derby Champion Street Sense in the Grade 1 Lane’s End Breeders’ Futurity, and Steppenwolfer ($635,746), who placed behind Barbaro in the 132nd Run For The Roses.  In the sales ring in 2007, yearlings sold for up to $120,000 and two-year-olds sold for up to $250,000.

EMPIRE MAKER 2000 b h Unbridled-Toussaud (El Gran Senor)
Three-time Grade 1 winner and Classic winner Empire Maker is passing on his considerable class to his offspring.  He Sired 3 first-crop Stakes winners in 2007, including Multiple Grade 1 winner Country Star, who set a Stakes and Track Record in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet, and Mushka, a $1.6 Million Saratoga Select Sales Topper who won the Grade 2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct.  With outstanding mares in his first few books like Grade 1 winner Rings a Chime, dam of Country Star (G1), as well as the dams of Mega-Millionaires, Kentucky Oaks winners, Champions, Grade 1 winners and Grade 1 Producers, Empire Maker’s legacy is destined to continue.

FIRST DEFENCE 2004 b h Unbridled's Song - Honest Lady (Seattle Slew) NEW 
Grade 1 winner First Defence displayed the precocity, brilliance, and versatility which lives within his exceptional and diverse pedigree. He broke his maiden at Two by 8 ¼ lengths at Belmont. As a Three Year Old, won the Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth going two turns in his stakes debut, ran a valiant second in the King’s Bishop Gr.1 at Saratoga. At four, he won the Jaipur Stakes Gr.3 on turf and the Grade 1 Forego Stakes by 6 ¾ lengths in 1:21 2/5, after fractions of :44 3/5 and 1:08 2/5. His dam is a half sister to CHESTER HOUSE, sire of 2 Breeders’ Cup winners and 18 stakes winners in 2008 and up and coming star EMPIRE MAKER. Unbridled’s Song fastest Grade 1 winning son enters stud for the 2009 season.

MIZZEN MAST 1998 gr h Cozzene-Kinema (Graustark)
Mizzen Mast has emerged as one of North America's top Juvenile Sires in 2007.  Of his 14 total Stakes performers in 2007, 3 are Juvenile Stakes winners (in 3 different countries) and 9 are Juvenile Stakes performers.  No other North American Sire had more two-year-old Stakes Horses than Mizzen Mast, and this bodes well for a stellar 2008 for the brilliant young son of Cozzene. In 2007 in the sales ring, the market spoke loud and clear and they were right with two-year-olds selling for $400,000, $350,000, $320,000, $290,000, $180,000, etc.
